Don’t let the simple design of this trusty little lemon reamer fool you. Even though it looks like a something a 1950’s housewife would have stowed away in her kitchen, it does a pretty amazing job of draining every last bit of juice out of a lemon, lime or orange. To get the most out of your chosen citrus, give it a good roll around the counter (or zap it in the microwave for a few seconds) to loosen up the juices before cutting it in half and “reaming” out the juice.
And, while you can buy fancier citrus pressers, this type of juicer works on any size citrus so you don’t have to hassle with buying a separate lemon and lime version. And, true the 1950s era, you can’t beat the price – ten bucks or less for most models!
