Happy Thanksgiving!

by Jillian on November 26, 2009

Thanksgiving, most importantly, is about spending time with friends and family in the kitchen or gathered around the table…which is exactly where we’re headed after we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! Since we won’t be whipping up any new recipes or making trips to the farmer’s market this weekend, we want to leave you with a few things we’re grateful for this year and would love to hear from you as well.

We’re grateful for:

  • The opportunity to see where the food from our CSA box is grown.
  • Securing enough pumpkins to prepare our favorite desserts despite the great squash epidemic!
  • The White House Vegetable Garden planted by the Obamas earlier this year.
  • Discovering that some foods aren’t as bad as we once thought (holla to you beets and brussels sprouts!)
  • Saving moola by learning how to grow our own food, including herbs.
  • Receiving kind notes, helpful hints and stamps of approval from you, our wonderful readers!

Talk to you on Monday!
