Thanksgiving, most importantly, is about spending time with friends and family in the kitchen or gathered around the table…which is exactly where we’re headed after we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! Since we won’t be whipping up any new recipes or making trips to the farmer’s market this weekend, we want to leave you with a few things we’re grateful for this year and would love to hear from you as well.
We’re grateful for:
- The opportunity to see where the food from our CSA box is grown.
- Securing enough pumpkins to prepare our favorite desserts despite the great squash epidemic!
- The White House Vegetable Garden planted by the Obamas earlier this year.
- Discovering that some foods aren’t as bad as we once thought (holla to you beets and brussels sprouts!)
- Saving moola by learning how to grow our own food, including herbs.
- Receiving kind notes, helpful hints and stamps of approval from you, our wonderful readers!
Talk to you on Monday!
