If you have a sweet tooth, a family recipe that is dying to be shared, or just want to support a good cause, this event is for you!  This Saturday kicks off the first annual National Food Bloggers Bake Sale in support of Share our Strength, a national organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger. There are bake sales happening across the nation, so you have no excuse not to load up on goodies at a nearby sale!

If you live in San Francisco, head down to Omnivore Books (3885a Cesar Chavez Street San Francisco, CA 94131 ) from 12pm – 3pm to purchase some treats. As a bonus, Rose Levy Barenbaum, known as the “Diva of Desserts”, will be speaking at 3pm at Omnivore…hopefully she’ll share her baking secrets! If you are interested in whipping up something to sell, contact Anita Chu at pastrygirl.dessertfirst@gmail.com. And she has more info about the sale on her blog.

If you live elsewhere, click here to find out if there is a bake sale happening near you.  If you’re interested in baking something for one of the other sales happening across the nation or would like to host an event in your town, email whatsgabycooking@gmail.com

Get baking people! And if you cant bake, I know you can eat!
